Q: What happens at the intersection of speed-dating and sales networking?

A: Speed Networking—a whirlwind night of rapid-fire elevator pitches and electrified business connections!

On September 1 we held the first round of the Mixer Match, a fast-paced evening of speed-networking—each vendor had only two minutes to pitch their product to each retailer. Over 60 handmade artisans and crafters participated in the event, networking with 19 local retailers and buyers in an effort to make leads on wholesale and consignment accounts.

It was a success! Reports have come in from various vendors about accounts that were opened as quickly as the next day, and both the retailers and vendors involved overwhelmingly felt that the opportunity to network with so many people in one place at one time was invaluable.
